Re: advice on a service
I do enjoy the way every transport provider on Shiply gets tarnished with the same brush. I used to move bikes off Shiply, and I know a few that still do. All of them have correct insurances, vans kitted out correctly for moving bikes, and not always charging the rates you might think. Back to the o...

Re: cx
CX works on both fronts. OD has access to hundreds of Co's looking to get excess work covered, helping to reduce his dead mileage and in turn helping with earning a proper wage. Company gets the excess work covered at a rate that they still make a margin. People slate it, but couple of years ago whe...

Re: Which Van Should I Buy
Stick with a mwb transit if it for your own use, 2 bikes comfortable or 3 at a squeeze. FWD version will have a slightly lower loading height making the heavy bikes a bit easier for loading.

Re: Which Van Should I Buy
How many bikes are you looking to transport at a time? What size bikes and what area are you looking to cover?
I've just stopped delivering bikes due to health so might have a few ideas on what you don't want to use.

Not been on here for a while but it would appear that certain events in life make you sit up and consider things in a different light. Beginning of last month I suffered a massive heart attack and only survived thanks to being around people at the time and the excellent work of the NHS, only to be f...

In answer to the original question, if the jobs are done for one of big boys at rubbish rates then both jobs SHOULD be paid at FULL RATE. If they were for someone paying a proper rate then anything from 50 to 100% of full rate. You obviously need to learn a few things, No.1 being to ask BEFORE you d...

The idea in itself isn't a bad one. I bet if it didn't come from Courier Jesus and with the dodgy postcodes........ Are you having a laugh? :yikes: :yikes: Not at all.
