Definitive list of Logistics Billboards
It strikes me that a lot of new starters to this business come on here looking for a list of Freight / Logistics billboards which they want to try out. I can't find a definitive list anywhere so i thought i'd start one. Here's all the ones i can think of (in no particular order), please add any more i've missed -

Different sites cater to different vehicles, some are very chat orientated, some aren't, some are free, some are in excess of £540 per year. Sign up to the ones you think will work for you and your business, good luck.

I've pruned out the discussion from this thread, updated the original list, and put it into alphabetical order.
If you want to talk direct to the sites directly there is a section on the Courier World forum where they have been invited to join and talk to couriers.

If they've gone that way is it because they did'nt charge enough or pay enough or whatever these net couriers do.Alec Crawford wrote:Hi Mike,
net-couriers & trades4work are both dead. (RIP)
we're probaly see a few more go down,i would pedict in these troubled markets theres only room now for about 4 or 2 of these net couriers listed above.

2010 brings new life to our industry and i think it's safe to say the 'troubled markets' have all but gone.steve jones wrote:we're probaly see a few more go down,i would pedict in these troubled markets theres only room now for about 4 or 2 of these net couriers listed above.
There's almost certainly more exchanges than i've listed above, and as fast as they go down they will spring up again. I'd place my mortgage on the fact there will always be at least 10 functioning.

Maybe in the south east like where you live this is true, there will always be money in the south east to spend.Elite Carriers wrote:

Already this year in south wales bosch are reporting they will close there door on 900 staff and thats not including people such as couriers and maintenance people etc etc that go in and out the site each day.If 100 of those ex bosch workers decide to become a courier then the already couriers in south wales have a big problem still.
Theres still alot of fear about losing jobs, money worries out there, you can see it on peoples faces.
Your right the courier exchages will come and go and come again depending whatever way the business climate is facing at the time.
However if there not being financially effective then whats the point of them running.
Thats why i predict just 4,because 4 would be able to give a much better service to Owner Drivers than having 20 exchanges open at the moment.
I must commend you on your upbeat outlook for the new year,Outside the south east the sameday business is struggling just the same as the old year.

Re: Definitive list of Freight/Courier Exchanges
Are these couriers UK wide or mainly for couriers in England and Wales?

Re: Definitive list of Freight/Courier Exchanges
I would imagine they all cover the whole of the UK, As above cx does, as I know definately, shed5, shiply, couriers on call, courierworld.
I'd be very surprised if the others didn't, email them. If they don't answer the question, dont join them

This list is no longer a true and valid representation of all available exchanges as the biggest and busiest had beenElite Carriers wrote:It strikes me that a lot of new starters to this business come on here looking for a list of Freight/ logistics billboards which they want to try out.
