Apparently, there are 2992 users on this site, i wonder how many of those are still active in the courier/transport world.

Being in the self isolation group, now ending my fourth week, I’m going a bit stir crazy And not earning, of course.
What can I say (and all the others in the same situation)? Just hanging in there waiting for it to end and getting back on the road.

Re: Active/non-active members
I'm second line courier - I'm just a subby for all except one (my best) customer. But we were persuaded by family to self isolate 4 weeks ago, so to make it definite I texted all my customers saying I was parking up and sort of burned my bridges. But it's silly awful.
Mind you, our big garden looks so good I can hardly believe it. I pay a man to cut the lawns because they're a pain, so many obstructions, plants, trees, very uneven ground, it took me ages myself and of course only able to do it weekends, sometimes even not then with work, then if it rained on Saturday I couldn't do it. He came last week - I didn't see my way to calling him off as he's obviously losing work more seriously than I am and he never gets anywhere near us anyway. Of course, much longer and so many jobs will be completed in the garden that I may turn to going behind him a week later with scissors to trim it all as a time wasting exercise!
Fortunately my local garden centre is still delivering and next Wednesday I have a load coming - chippings, log roll edging, potting compost, seeds and plants. I've already got 30+ broad bean plants germinating in the greenhouse, together with squashes, sunflowers and tomatoes which I've never grown from seed before. I count the blossom on the apple trees and my fishes every day. The tadpoles are gradually being eaten by the koi so there won't be any frogs or toads again - I don't understand why the adults keep coming and laying spawn every year - I'd get disheartened.

Hello
Yeah still doing removals, although a lot of my work was event and exhibition work, obviously given the current situation thats all gone out the wondow.
I was trying to get away from removals, as the older you get the harder it becomes.
So how is everyone coping at the moment?
Personally I think there is going to be a lot of people going under after this.

I self isolated on 15th March. I have one genuine customer and all others are where I run as a subbie. I suspect I shall be having quite a long rest after it’s all over!

Re: Active/non-active members
I don’t allow deer in my garden. Unfortunately I am entirely unable to ban cats - they don’t eat my plants, just rubbish all in among them. That’s not nice weeding by hand.
With self isolation we have been weeding so much that the worms all scuttle away when they hear us coming!
