It is strange you talk to anyone with a micro scooter/mini moto they can talk for hours about how good they are, but as everyone else knows they are death traps that have no place on the roads and the owners of these contraptions should really use the bus

The only reason I can think of is some people are too busy doing other things than driving safely so don't notice these smaller vehicles, this is where the danger comes in. So ignorant drivers want them off the road to save them from having to drive properly.

Can I point out 2 things...

This was ridden by a very experienced rider who does 1000s miles on a bike every month, so knows how to avoid trouble.

It's got a 140cc engine that sounds and goes like a motorcross bike.

And the third thing... He's big enough to be seen by any driver who bothers to look past their satnav, phone, DVD etc...

Ah, but this one was non-fault. I was overtaking the coach when he decided to overtake a bus at the bus stop. He admitted I was in his blind spot and so didn't know I was there. Left-hand drive of course. You can see by the damage I was almost past him when the front corner of the coach hit me. Barely a scratch on the coach. He was more concerned about the grumbling passengers having to get off the coach!

You'd think left-hand drive coaches would have a spotter when driving in London.

One of your earlier contributions to our esteemed pages Peter.

"I have always tried to abide by the new Highway Code regulation about giving way to buses but, recently, I have been cut up by a couple that just push in regardless and had one pull across me when I was indicating left to turn left over Vauxhall Bridge, stopping me form entering the empty left hand lane.
For this reason I no longer bother to let them out"

We'd have been happy to believe you.....no need for the practical demonstration.
