Hi Guys,

Just wondering if you know any tips to increase MPG on city driving and motorway driving.

Cheers

Get a bang up to date new generation diesel with stop start in traffic and drive smooth and at optimum revs on motorway, prob around 60 mph.

It's worth calculating the cost of a nearly new diesel with all the kit against your current motor in relation to improved fuel consumption. If you are getting 10 mpg better how many miles until the outlay is justified ?

You can get remaps claiming 2 mpg improvement or more. I was tempted when I had my new engine .

I think sometimes if you have to worry about mpg a lot then you might not have enough money in the job
No job to small .........but many too big

Cruise control and a light foot... For returning empty...

But I agree with Mack.

So if there is little money in the job what do you do ?

You could charge the customer over the odds so you can thrash the motor there and back I suppose .

I think mpg is very important, keeping all costs down in a cut throat business is crucial.

Nice to have a niche where costs don't matter though.
