Bike / Luggage transport to Europe

Postby Pedal Adventures » Sunday 5 October 2014, 19:39

Hello, Pedal Adventures is a Cycling holiday company and I have a question around taking bikes and bags abroad for clients, I wonder if any or you guys would be able to answer my questions or direct me in the direction of the answers. I want to know
If I take clients baggage and cycles abroad in our minibus which we use as a support vehicle for the holiday, how will I make a proper declaration to the customs, and if there was contraband in one of the bags how do I stand legally?
It must be possible to transport these items as you guys are forever transporting across borders. I have spent some time on the .gov websites but I do not understand what I need to do. Any help would be much appreciated/

Check all items being loaded and enter an inventory along with a CMR and get the customer to sign and print on collection

I totally agree with mevrick you need to write down the list of items on a sheet and ask customers to sign the Declaration the Ownership. :blahblah:
