Courier Network

Postby tony2268 » Tuesday 1 May 2012, 11:50

I seen an advert to become a courier through Courier Network. Stated I could become a self employed owner driver. I love driving and thought it would suit me down to the ground so filled in the short application form... i stated that i can work from 8am - 4pm and am willing to cover 60 miles (testing the water). this was yesterday morning and had an email this morning saying that my application was successful.

However, they have asked for £69.95. this pays for my inclusion onto there database and to ensure " i am completely serious about the role as a courier with them". this also includes a manual explaining the role.

i plan to use my car for the time being to see if i like the job then will get myself a van. but am wondering if this is worthwhile as i have seen on a few websites that i shouldn't pay anything. they also state i can start within 36hrs of receiving my payment.

is this a scam or should i give it a sniff??
