Hi Guys
I am just new to this site and looking for a little info on the set up and getting started as a self employed driver.
What is the best Insurance company to use for insuring your vans in 2018 and do I need to have public liability built into the insurance and breakdown cover.

If you are going with "Hermes Yodel etc", you will have to ask them.

You won't find many people on here recommending working for "Hermes, Yodel, etc ". You should read everything you can find about them on as many forums as you can.

cant answer easily , get loads of quotes

find out whom you want to work for and target info from them , general info does not work in this industry

you will need P/L and GIT , shop around rather than including it in your cover

breakdown is a silly good idea due to the nature of the job

Thank you brummieadam. Can you get public liability and Goods in Transit insurance separate with another insurance company and keep your normal van insurance as long as you have all the cover required.

 Have you had an actual quote for van courier insurance yet? that is not goods in transit or public liability cover.
